Wi-Fi Calling

Step 1: Requirements for Wi-Fi Calling

1. An operating system that supports Wi-Fi Calling (software)
    Apple: iOS 10.3 an up
    Android: Android version 7.0 and up
2. A smartphone that is capable of Wi-Fi Calling (hardware). See step 2.
3. A Wi-Fi connection with a good Internet connection
4. You must activate Wi-Fi Calling on your smartphone

Step 2: Wi-Fi calling enabled devices and activation process

There are 2 ways to check whether your device supports Wi-Fi calling:

  1. Install the Sunrise mobile network app for iOS or Android. In the app menu, click on “Wi-Fi Calling Test” to check whether your device is compatible with Wi-Fi calling.
  2. In the Sunrise eShop, you will find a list of current mobile models that support Wi-Fi calling.

Wi-Fi Calling will be automatically working after activation. If the mobile phone signal is not strong enough and you have an adequate connection to a Wi-Fi network, your smartphone will automatically switch to Wi-Fi calling, and route your calls over the Wi-Fi network.
