When can I benefit from the use of Wi-Fi Calling?

Most recently modified:

You will benefit most from Wi-Fi Calling in buildings where thick walls restrict your mobile signal reception. You can replace your Sunrise indoor box by using WI-Fi Calling.

But we recommend you switch off Wi-Fi Calling when there is sufficient signal coverage from the usual mobile network. Using Wi-Fi Calling reduces run time of your smartphones’s battery.

Please note: Currently, it is not possible to make emergency calls (112, 117, 118, 144, 147, 143, 911) through Wi-Fi Calling. We recommend using your landline network or your mobile network for emergency calls.
