Matt Maeson live at the Plaza in Zurich

Matt Maeson makes songs for the moments when you need them most. No matter how fast life moves, he gets a handle on it and slows it down just enough to sing about it. The Virginia-born, Nashville-based multi-platinum singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist transforms complicated feelings, troubled emotions and self-doubt into compelling, catchy alternative anthems fueled by relatable and raw emotion.

Over the past ten years, Matt has captured the trials and tribulations of life on tape. In 2019, he struck a nerve and made history with his first LP "Bank on the Funeral". The album's two platinum-certified singles - "Cringe" and "Hallucinogenics" (feat. Lana Del Rey) - both climbed to No. 1 in the alternative charts, making him the first male solo artist to have two No. 1 alternative hits with a debut album. He followed up with "Never Had To Leave" in 2022, which was praised by American Songwriter, Conse- quence of Sound and other critics.

He emerged as the rare talent to back Zach Bryan in arenas or lend his voice to artists like Gryffin, Illenium and Chelsea Cutler. He also embarked on the sold-out, acoustic "That's My Cue" tour, which was captured on his live album "That's My Cue: A Solo Experi- ence" in 2024.

Along the way, Matt got married, moved from Austin to Nashville and became a father. In his new single "Everlasting" (Atlantic Records), he processes all these decisive changes out loud. Frustrated and confused, Matt wrestles with the idea of leaving it all behind, only to pick himself up and belt out a mantra-like chant through a haze of strings: "Grit your teeth and make us proud. Fake it if you don't know how."
