Max Richter today announces his European tour for 2026. With these newly announced live dates, Richter will return to mainland Europe for the first time since his 2024 world tour in support of his acclaimed album "In A Landscape". On March 3, Max Richter will play at the KKL Lucerne.

Fan pre-sales begin on Thursday, October 16, at 10 a.m. local time, with general on-sales starting on Friday, October 17, at 10 a.m. local time. Max Richter will perform at the KKL Luzern on March 3, 2026.

Last week, Richter announced the release of his original soundtrack to Chloé Zhao's new, highly acclaimed feature film "Hamnet". The original soundtrack will be released by Decca Records and will be available digitally from November 21 and on vinyl from January 9.

The announcement of the European tour comes just one month after the tenth anniversary of Richter's transcendent project "SLEEP" in September, when he played the biggest SLEEP shows to date at London's Alexandra Palace and released his new album "Sleep Circle", a hallucinatory 90-minute journey into the hypnagogic state.

Richter, one of the most influential and renowned composers of his generation, is known for his ability to seamlessly blend traditional orchestrations with modern electronic elements. His unparalleled ability to translate profound human experiences into musical compositions has earned him a loyal global following, with his catalog garnering over three billion streams to date.

Beyond his solo endeavors, Richter is a prolific collaborator who has worked with esteemed creatives and visionaries across multiple disciplines. From scoring the Dior shows for Kim Jones, to composing for ballets choreographed by Wayne McGregor, to his contributions to the world of cinema and television with directors such as Denis Villeneuve, Martin Scorsese and Ari Folman, Richter's versatility knows no bounds. Together with his partner, visual artist Yulia Mahr, Richter is co-founder of Studio Richter Mahr. In the English countryside of Oxfordshire, Max and Yulia have set up the multimedia production studio in a former farmhouse and equipped it with state-of-the-art solar and heat pump technology. The duo, who live on a 31-acre woodland estate, are passionate about managing the land and creating a sustainable working environment that serves as a space for both emerging and established creatives to develop their work.
