Punk quartet Rise Against back in Zurich
Rarely is a band name as fitting as that of punk quartet Rise Against from Chicago. While short-lived styles and fashionable imitations came and went, Rise Against remained a guiding star of artistic resistance.
Although constantly updating their formula, they have maintained their original rebellious spirit for over a quarter of a century. Time and again, they manage to combine hard riffs and catchy melodies with pointed, socially critical lyrics. This is also the case on their album "Ricochet", released in 2025, with which they will go on a world tour in 2026, including a stop in Zurich.
Like the band's literary hero, George Orwell, they have adopted the maxim that "in times of deception, speaking the truth is a revolutionary act".
