Mother Of Pearl Tour
BETWEEN TENDER BALLADS & PUNCH THE AIR TRIUMPHS
With her third album "Mother Of Pearl" (release date: 29.5.26), English songwriter Freya Ridings is opening a new chapter. Together with producer Sam De Jong (Gracie Abrams, P!nk, Muse), she has found a new creative approach: "It feels like I've rediscovered my voice." The compositions are more personal, more direct and characterized by a rediscovered emotional depth.
Her self-titled debut album was nominated at the 2019 BRIT Awards, reached over a billion streams and was honored with 47 gold and platinum awards worldwide. With "Lost Without You", Freya Ridings also became the first female artist in the UK to both write and perform a solo top 10 hit. The song has been streamed hundreds of millions of times to date. The album also includes chart hits such as "Castles" and "You Mean The World To Me". Her second album Blood Orange (2023) followed on from this and once again reached the top 10 in the UK charts.
She has been compared to artists such as Kate Bush and Florence Welch for her fascinating blend of self-confident power and vulnerability and her flair for songs that touch people around the world. Freya Ridings' music has an almost painful beauty.
