INFORMATION AND ADVISORY SERVICES

There are various organisations in Switzerland that provide information and assistance for those interested and affected. Here are some that can help those interested and affected:

The organisation Clickandstop offers children and adolescents, parents and guardians, teachers, professionals and all other interested and affected persons professional, free and anonymous information and advice via phone, chat or contact form. They handle all aspects of paedophilic crimes on the Internet and also offer prevention services. More information is available here.

The foundation Kinderschutz Schweiz (Child Protection Switzerland) is a non-profit organisation that aims to ensure that all children in Switzerland grow up protected and with dignity in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Children. In this context, it offers prevention services and other measures. Kinderschutz Schweiz also provides an overview of reporting offices that are available to those affected.

The Opferhilfe Schweiz (Assistance to victims of criminal offences) initiative supports all people who have been physically, psychologically or sexually harmed by a crime in Switzerland.

The consultation is free of charge. It is confidential and, if desired, anonymous. There are victim-counselling centres in all cantons in line with the Victim Support Act. If a phone or personal consultation is desired, the victim can choose the appropriate counselling centre . A list of all recognised victim-counselling centres in Switzerland can be found here.

Schweizerische Kriminalprävention (Swiss Crime Prevention, SKP) is an inter-cantonal specialist office for crime prevention. It is supported by the Conference of Cantonal Justice and Police Directors (KKJPD) and run by a permanent commission.

The SKP offers a wide range of information and assistance on various focus topics – such as the Internet (e.g., sextortion, cyberbullying, romance scams), sexual violence (adults, children, illegal pornography), fraud (e.g., phone fraud) – and can also refer to appropriate counselling services.

The Youth and Media platform supports parents and professionals in providing minors with specialised support in media use – so that they can use digital media safely and responsibly. The Federal Social Insurance Office (FSIO) is responsible for operating the platform.
