The insurance protects against the illegal appropriation of an insured person’s card data by third parties and its misuse on the internet. If such misuse leads to financial loss, the policy covers the costs up to a maximum of CHF 5'000, as long as the costs are not covered by third parties or under other legal or contractual obligations.
The insurance covers the expenses for external service providers involved in the restoration, deletion, or modification of data that violates the insured person's rights, up to a maximum amount of CHF 10'000. Prior approval is required, and reimbursement will be provided upon submission of the invoice.
The insurance provides coverage for psychological support if the insured person suffers serious violations of their personal rights due to cyberbullying, with costs reimbursed up to CHF 1'000.
The insurance covers identity theft where a third party unlawfully uses the insured person's identity on the internet. It includes coverage for financial losses from fraudulent contracts up to CHF 5'000, as long as no other party is liable for the damages. Legal protection is also provided in cases of reputational damage caused by the misuse.
The insurance provides coverage in cases of violations of the insured person's copyright, name, or trademark rights on the internet. It covers the costs of enforcing these rights or defending against unjustified claims made by third parties. Legal protection is also included if such violations lead to legal disputes.
The insurance covers financial losses resulting from fraud, non-delivery, incorrect delivery, or damage to goods purchased online, including cinema tickets, train tickets, hotel rooms, and apartments. The maximum coverage for such claims is CHF 2'500 per event, with a deductible of CHF 200.–.

Annual insurance

The cyber insurance is only available as a yearly plan which has a minimum period of one year. After this minimum period of one year, you can cancel your policy on a monthly basis. After successful activation, incidents are covered from your selected start date onward. If you select today as the start date, coverage will begin at the earliest at midnight tonight.

Contract conclusion

Sunrise insurances can only be taken out online. The coverage start date is freely selectable. If you choose today as the start date, coverage begins after midnight on the following day.
The insurance contract is considered concluded upon receipt of a confirmation by email, which also includes the policy. You will then receive the invoice in a separate email.

Monthly insurance The monthly insurance has a fixed term of 1 month (30 days) and ends automatically afterwards. No cancellation is required. Annual insurance The annual insurance has a term of 1 year and automatically renews for another year unless it is cancelled. The annual insurance can be cancelled online through the insurance portal with a notice period of 30 days before the end of each contract year. Start date The start date of coverage can be freely chosen for both monthly and annual insurance. If you choose today as the start date, coverage begins after midnight on the following day.
