Sunrise is launching the first 5G offer in Switzerland and covering 150 cities/villages with the latest generation of mobile communications by end of March. Along with South Korea, Japan, the USA and China, Switzerland is one of the first countries in the world to launch 5G. Sunrise offers the broadest 5G coverage right from the start.
With 5G, we want to close the digital divide between urban and rural areas, which is particularly important for business customers and SMEs based outside city centers. 5G will propel them into the digital age. We are very pleased that our first 5G approx. 100 selected residential and business customers will be able to make use of "5G for People" from mid-March, and benefit from high-bandwidth Internet speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s without fiber optic connections.
Later this year and in addition to fiber offers, we will launch high-bandwidth Internet, our best TV offer and a phone package over 5G in non-urban areas. However, customers have not to worry about the technology. They automatically receive the best offer available at their home or place of business," says Olaf Swantee, CEO of Sunrise, describing Sunrise's 5G launch.

Business customers benefit from 5G for their B2B fixed-network and mobile offerings. Sunrise will also offer IP telephony, cloud PBX and work smart solutions over 5G.
Businesses, especially SMEs in suburban and rural areas with no fiber optic connection, will be able to greatly increase their productivity and competitiveness with 5G high bandwidth Internet.

Sunrise Business Mobile customers with unlimited data benefit from the latest mobile communication generation with a 5G option for CHF 10 per month.
For SME customers who buy a 5G smartphone at Sunrise, the option will be added automatically.
SME & Enterprise customers who buy their 5G smartphone from other providers can subscribe to the option at any time.

Existing Business Mobile internet offers (start, comfort, unlimited) will be supplemented by a new 5G offer: "Business Mobile internet unlimited 5G" at an introductory price of CHF 59 per month.
Surf with Laptop, Tablet, Hotspot on the go with 5G. As with 4G, Business Mobile internet unlimited 5G also includes 1GB of data roaming for country region 1 (USA, Canada and Europe) and is perfectly suited for mobile and flexible working.

5G Indoor Coverage as a Service offers dedicated 5G based mobile indoor coverage solutions for business customers. These solutions will be available as of mid- 2019.
For enterprise customers in particular, 5G indoor coverage is paving the way for 5G-enabled Internet of Things solutions in the future.
