Information on the integration of Sunrise and UPC

 

As of 11 November 2020, UPC and Sunrise are no longer competitors but are both subsidiaries of the same parent company, Liberty Global.

The integration of the two companies is progressing rapidly, resulting in a unique combination of Switzerland’s leading gigabit fiber optic cable network and one of the world’s best mobile networks. This fixed-mobile convergence is creating a real, even stronger challenger that will drive competition and innovation in the Swiss market. UPC and Sunrise are continuing to focus on providing their services to the highest standard, and the service quality will remain our top priority.

Both companies will continue to sell their own products with the respective brand names. Nothing is changing for existing business and residential customers or for all existing business partners of UPC and Sunrise. Starting on 1 March, customers of Sunrise and UPC will benefit from joint WOW offers and WOW advantages. Our customers will continue to have access to all our products and services – all existing subscriptions and contracts are still valid.

  • Yes, as long as you do not currently have a contractual relationship with Sunrise, you can benefit from the gifting promotion.

Our customers will continue to have access to all our products and services – all existing subscriptions and contracts are still valid. 

     

    Therefore, there is no special right of cancellation (i.e. no extraordinary possibility of termination without observing the notice period and any minimum contract period).

  • Sunrise Business customers can switch to the UPC Giganet if their property is connected to the UPC Giganet. When switching, you are entering into a business relationship with UPC and must contact UPC for support and billing questions.
