Contact Sensor
Function overview
The Contact Sensor monitors the opening and closing of doors or windows.
The larger sensor is mounted on the fixed frame, while the smaller magnet is attached to the moving part (door/window).
When the door or window opens, the magnet separates from the sensor, triggering an internal magnetic switch that sends an alarm signal to the base station.
The Contact Sensor also communicates signal problems and low battery conditions.
LED indicator
In normal operation, the LED remains off except in the following cases:
The LED flashes when the Contact Sensor is triggered if battery status is low.
To confirm signal transmission, the LED flashes twice rapidly and stays on for 1.5 seconds once the base station has acknowledged the signal.
Battery
Uses 1 × 3V CR2032 lithium battery
Battery status is reported to the base station via regular monitoring signals.
Low battery → app message + optional push notification, call, SMS, email
Battery replacement:
Loosen the screw at the bottom of the sensor.
Turn the device over and gently open the back cover with a flat-head screwdriver.
Remove the old battery, wait 10 minutes, press the LED button five to six times to discharge residual power.
Insert a new battery (+ side up).
Re-attach the cover and tighten the screw.
Remove the battery insulator → LED flashes for 30 seconds (warm-up phase). The sensor is now ready for use.
Follow the instructions in the app to add the Contact Sensor.
Put base station in pairing mode (press Reset/Learn for six seconds until LED flashes blue).
Success = One beep from base station
Tip
Give each sensor a unique name for easy identification.
Mount the Contact Sensor on the fixed door/window frame, and the magnet on the moving part (door/window).
Maximum distance between magnet and sensor when door is closed: 15 mm.
Mount using screws/wall plugs or the included double-sided adhesive pad.
