Troubleshooting tips

What you can do

1
Check your HDMI connection

Make sure that your HDMI cable is correctly connected to your TV set and the Sunrise TV Box. Use either the HDMI cable included with delivery or a new, intact HDMI cable with «High Speed» specifications. If possible, test different HDMI cables as well.

In addition, make sure that you have selected the correct HDMI connection on your TV set as the signal source. You will find the exact procedure for this in the instruction manual for your TV set.

2
Restart your Sunrise TV Box

Check that all cables are plugged in correctly. Then start up the Sunrise TV Box by unplugging the power cable and plugging it back in after 30 seconds. Wait until the box has completely restarted, then check whether the problem has been resolved.

3
Check other HDMI connections

Please check all HDMI connections on your television. Connect the HDMI cable to different ports, then check to see if the issue persists.

4
Update your TV set’s firmware

Make sure that your TV’s firmware is up to date. You can check whether this is the case on your TV set manufacturer’s web page.

If you are absolutely certain that the latest firmware is up to date, turn off the CEC function in accordance with the user guide for your TV set.

5
Try out various standby settings for your Sunrise TV Box and your TV set

If the problem mostly occurs when you activate your TV from standby mode, try using different standby settings for your Sunrise TV Box and your TV set.

By default, the Sunrise TV Box has three different standby settings, although this number varies depending on the TV model. To change the standby mode on your Sunrise TV Box, go to the settings by pressing the respective button on your remote control (see image) and then clicking on the cogwheel icon.
