Smoke Detector
Function overview
The Smoke Detector reliably protects against fire hazards.
With multi-sensor technology, it distinguishes between fast-burning flames and smoldering fires while reducing false alarms caused by cooking smoke.
Wireless smoke detector with multi-sensor technology
Differentiates everyday smoke from real emergencies
Reduces nuisance alarms
Alerts with buzzer, LED, and Base Station signal
LED indicator
Red LED:
Quick flash: Alarm triggered
Flashes every second: Smoke detector in alarm silence mode
Flashes every 2 seconds: Warm-up phase / calibration
Flashes every 4 seconds together with orange: Low battery
Brief flash: When the Learn/Test button is pressed to check device function or for system pairing
6 brief flashes: Signal is being transmitted
Orange LED:
Flashes every second: Calibration failed
Flashes every 4 seconds together with red: Battery exhausted
Flashes every 5 seconds: Smoke detection failed or device malfunction
Flashes every 45 seconds: Low battery
Test/Learn button:
Short press:
Send test signal
Check smoke chamber
Silence alarm (9 min.)
Pair with Base Station
Press and hold for 10 seconds:
Start calibration
Battery
Uses 3 × CR123 3V lithium batteries
Automatic battery check every 25 seconds
If battery is low: Orange LED + signal to base station + beep every 45 seconds
If battery is exhausted: Red + orange LEDs flash every 4 seconds
Replacement: Remove old batteries → wait 10 min → press button twice → insert new batteries
Note:
In low battery warning mode, the beep will be silenced for 7 days after the first button press. It cannot be muted again after that.Dust detection
The detector regularly checks the optical chamber for excess dust
If dust is detected, it reports to the panel with a cleaning request
If the chamber isn’t cleaned and too much dust accumulates, a maintenance warning is issued
Supervision
The Smoke Detector sends periodic supervision signals to the Base Station
If no signal is received, the Base Station will indicate a fault
Alarm activation
When smoke is detected, the alarm is triggered, a signal is sent to the base station, and the buzzer sounds.Smoke detection
The smoke detector checks air quality every 8 seconds
If the smoke level exceeds the threshold, the alarm sounds and remains active until levels drop
The red LED flashes rapidly during alarm
Alarm silence
Pressing the test button during alarm will silence it for 9 minutes
The red LED flashes once per second. If smoke falls below threshold during silence, a two-tone beep sounds and normal mode resumes.
If smoke rises or exceeds a second threshold, the alarm will sound again and can no longer be silenced by the button.
Auto-Calibration
After first installation, auto-calibration runs after 4 hours, then every 15 days
During calibration, the red LED flashes (every 2 seconds, about 50 sec)
If calibration fails, the orange LED flashes every second and a fault is reported. Flashing can be stopped by removing/reinserting the batteries or by starting manual calibration
If calibration fails again, the orange LED will flash constantly and continuous beeping occurs—remove batteries briefly and reinsert
Note: If auto-calibration fails, the alarm uses the last successful value. For best results, calibrate the detector at its permanent location.
Recalibration
Hold test button 10 sec., release at 2 beeps
After 5 sec. beep, calibration starts (red LED flashes every 2 sec.)
Lasts ~1 min; retries up to 9 min if fails
Success: Two-tone beep, red LED off, normal mode
Fail: Continuous beep + orange LED flashes
Remove battery → press test button twice → insert battery → restart
Insert batteries → beep + warm-up (1 min)
Automatic calibration (1–9 min)
Success: beep + LED off → normal mode
Calibration failed: remove batteries, press button 2×, reinsert
Follow the instructions in the app to add the Smoke Detector.
Put Base Station in pairing mode (press Reset/Learn 6 s until LED flashes blue)
Press and hold LED Indicator on detector for 3 s (LED lights)
Success = 1 beep from Base Station. If the Detector is not added within 25 seconds, please repeat the pairing process
Tip:
Name each detector uniquely for easy identification.
Install on ceiling, preferably in room center, at least 60 cm away from walls

Avoid: kitchen, near fans, fluorescent lights, AC units, ceiling beams, over cabinets, or attic peaks
Recommended locations: open ceiling area with unobstructed view, near entrances
Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, or moving objects
Ideal mounting height: about 3 meters; higher can affect detection
Use mounting template to mark holes, insert anchors, and screw in bracket
Important notes
Test your Smoke Detector weekly using the test button to ensure it works properly.
Clean the detector at least every 6 months: gently vacuum dust from the detection chamber and vents.
Wipe the casing with a damp cloth, do not allow water inside. Avoid using cleaning agents.
Avoid spraying aerosols such as air fresheners or hairspray near the detector.
Never paint or modify the detector.
The smoke detector has a maximum lifetime of 10 years. Replace it immediately after this period.
A replacement date should be marked on the back of the detector.
