General information about Sunrise Home Security

Sunrise Home Security is a smart, simple, and affordable alarm system designed to protect your home professionally – without the hassle.

  • The customer needs a valid Sunrise account and a My Sunrise login.

  • All subscriptions require sufficient 4G indoor coverage at the customer’s address. Additionally, guard service eligibility must be met for the subscription to be fully completed.

  • A fixed-line internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps is required – regardless of the provider.

We offer two subscription plans – Basic and Complete – and matching hardware packages.

Yes, the Complete Plan includes professional installation.

Home Security Complete includes Sunrise Home Assistance by Zurich. In the event of an emergency causing damage, such as after a break-in or another incident in your home, you can report a claim, and Zurich will quickly and efficiently arrange professional assistance – around the clock.

The insurance includes the following components:

• 24/7 emergency contact and immediate measures: Fast assistance from a professional after a break-in.

• Psychological support: Professional psychological assistance following a break-in.

• Key service: Quick help in case of lost keys or if you lock yourself out.

• Support for homeowners and condominium owners in case of malfunction of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, elevator, sanitary installations, or fuse box: Fast assistance in the event of malfunction of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, elevator systems, or the fuse box.

The insurance covers the costs for a one-time intervention by the dispatched professionals—up to a maximum of CHF 1,000 per incident.

The Sunrise Home Security app is currently not available on Huawei devices, as they do not support official Google services.

Usage & system features

It detects motion, openings, and alerts your contacts and the guard service.

Emergency contacts are notified via the Online Alarm Center. The Guard Service can be dispatched.

Yes, with the Sunrise Home app.

Yes, Smart Routines can turn lights on/off automatically.

Home Security notifications fall into three categories: Push Notifications, which are sent to residents via the app only; Email, SMS, or Voicemail Notifications, which are sent to emergency contacts for warnings such as when the system is offline; and Email, SMS, or Voicemail Alerts, which are sent to emergency contacts when alarms are triggered. Residents never receive SMS or Voicemail notifications, and emergency contacts can choose which channels to activate.

Steps to configure: Open the app and go to Emergency Contacts, remove your phone number from the SMS or Voicemail fields if you do not want those alerts, and for the first emergency contact, you can choose to receive maintenance alerts by email only.

Tip: Avoid adding yourself as both Resident and Emergency Contact with all channels active, as this will result in multiple notifications for the same event.

Certified Swiss security personnel are available for you 24/7 — and in emergencies, they will be at your home within 30 minutes.
Through the app, you can track their location in real-time and see exactly when they arrive. On-site, the security personnel stay up to two hours to inspect and secure the premises, coordinate the police if needed, and upload detailed photos and incident reports directly into the app. This way, you stay informed at all times and maintain control — no matter where you are.

RSPNDR is the technology partner behind Swiss Alarm Guards.
The company operates a digital platform that connects certified Swiss security companies.
Security personnel receive deployment details directly on their mobile devices — based on their current location. This automatically dispatches the nearest available staff member to the site. The result: significantly reduced response times and an efficient, location-based security service.

Thanks to geofencing, your security system knows exactly when you come and go — and reacts accordingly. When you leave the house, the alarm is activated. Your alarm system is automatically activated when you leave your home and exit the defined geofencing area. When you return and reenter the area, you will receive a push notification prompting you to deactivate the alarm. For safety reasons, however, the system is not automatically deactivated.

Geofencing uses your smartphone’s GPS to create a virtual boundary around your home. As soon as you leave or enter this zone, the system detects your movement — and responds automatically.
