Setting up WiFi via the Connect App – new customer

If you’ve never previously owned a Sunrise modem, this page will tell you how to set up your WiFi via the Connect app for your first Sunrise modem.

Step-by-step instructions

1. Installing modem – have the WiFi login details available
  1. Connect your Connect Box 3 / 3 Fiber and install it. You’ll find the corresponding installation instructions here.

  2. Make sure you have your current WiFi login details (name and password) on hand so that all your devices will be reconnected automatically once your WiFi is set up.

As soon as the modem is ready for use, the white LED will light up continuously.

2. Download the app and log in
  1. Download the Connect app from the App Store (iPhone) or Play Store (Android):



  2. Log in using your My Sunrise login details.

    Once you’ve logged in with your password, you’ll receive an email with a code that you’ll need to enter into the app. This is for your security so that no unauthorised persons can access your WiFi settings.

To access My Sunrise, you’ll need your email address, account number or phone number and your password.

3. Go to «Devices»

Go to «Devices» and click on the WiFi icon in the middle of the device view.

4. Editing the WiFi network

Go to «WiFi Networks», select your network and then click on the edit icon.

5. Selecting the WiFi name and password
  1. Enter your previous network name and WiFi password so that your devices reconnect to the WiFi automatically. You can also set a new name and new password – in this case, you'll need to enter the new login details on your devices manually.

  2. Wait a few minutes. You’ll then need to update the WiFi login details on all your devices, including those on which the Connect app is installed.

6. Saving network settings
  1. Go to the «For you» screen and tap on the settings icon at the top left.

  2. Make sure the «Auto-restore network settings» switch is enabled. Once it is, your Connect Box settings will be stored in the cloud.

  3. You can now restore your modem settings. This is convenient if you’ve switched modem or if you need to perform a factory reset for your Connect Box.
