Sunrise and Salt want to further improve mobile network coverage in rural and less densely populated areas.
The goal is to provide you with broader network coverage, better reception and more reliable connections. This could be achieved by allowing you in future to use not only the antennas belonging to Sunrise but also a large number of Salt mobile network sites for your mobile voice and Internet connections.
For this purpose, Sunrise and Salt have signed a memorandum of understanding for a collaboration. This provides for Sunrise and Salt to evaluate the technical, operational, economic, legal and regulatory requirements of this planned collaboration. The conclusion of definitive agreements and any potential implementation will depend on the outcome of this evaluation and the required regulatory approvals.
The planned collaboration is an extension of the existing collaboration between Sunrise and Salt. Sunrise already uses some parts of Salt’s mobile network at selected locations today.
What this means for you
For the time being, nothing will change for you. The expanded collaboration with Salt has not yet been decided upon. Sunrise and Salt are currently evaluating the possible forms that this expanded collaboration may take.
There are currently no changes for you as a customer and you do not need to take any action.
The planned collaboration relates exclusively to mobile network infrastructure. No technical adjustments or changes to your mobile contract will be required. Sunrise and Salt remain independent and separate competitors. Offers, prices, products and services will remain unchanged. Your subscription, your prices and your products will also remain unchanged.

No. Sunrise operates its network to the highest quality standard, as has been confirmed on numerous occasions by independent tests such as the connect mobile network test. Over the past ten years, Sunrise has invested billions in its mobile network and will continue to invest in its own infrastructure to maintain this high level of quality.
