    • Convert a physical SIM card to an eSIM

    on the same iPhone

    Requirements for switching to eSIM

    • You have an active Sunrise Mobile subscription or use Sunrise Prepaid

    • You have an eSIM-compatible iPhone (iPhone 11 or newer series, iPhone XS/XR, iPhone SE 2022)

    • Your iPhone is signed in to Apple iCloud

    • iOS 16 or newer is installed on your iPhone

    • Your iPhone is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi

    Step-by-step guide

    1. Switch to eSIM
      Select Settings > Mobile Service and click “Convert to eSIM”.

    2. Confirm the switch
      Click “Convert to eSIM” to confirm the change to eSIM.

    3. Complete the switch
      Wait until your eSIM has been activated. The old SIM card will be deactivated. Remove the physical SIM card from your iPhone and restart your device.
