Changes to contract terms as of July 1, 2023

The monthly base fee for our subscriptions will rise by around 4% from July 1, 2023. This action is necessary to offset the inflation-related increases in energy, labor and operating costs that are also significantly affecting Sunrise. In 2022, Switzerland recorded the highest rate of inflation for many years (2.8%), with an additional 2.4% forecast for this year. Like many other companies, we are no longer able to absorb the extra costs through cost efficiencies alone and so we are adjusting our prices.

The price adjustment applies to the list price of the subscriptions. However, there will be no price increases for prepaid offers, installments for devices, options and connection costs.

Sunrise is updating the data-protection provisions in clause 9 of the GT&C to take account of the new Data Protection Act that will apply from September 1, 2023. The data-protection provisions in our GT&C outline how Sunrise processes your data and protects your privacy.

In line with the current standard in the telecoms market, we are also adding a clause on inflation to the GT&C (clause 2). Based on this, prices for services can be adjusted once a year to reflect the increased cost of living. The reference point used is the national consumer price index (CPI).

In order to offer you price stability, we will not make any further inflation-related price adjustments to subscriptions before 2025.

The CPI measures the change in prices of goods and services which are representative of a private household's consumption in Switzerland. It indicates how much consumers need to increase or to decrease their expenditure to maintain the same volume of consumption, despite the variations in prices.
