Sharing a Netflix account – what you need to know

  1. On your Sunrise TV, go to «TV Shop» in the main menu.

  2. Under the «Entertainment» category, choose Netflix.

  3. Select your Netflix subscription and confirm it with your PIN.

Yes. Once you've purchased the Netflix option from Sunrise, you will receive an activation email with instructions on how to link your existing Netflix account.

The link in the email is valid for 7 days and can only be used once. If you need more time, you can send a new activation email to your email address at any time via My Sunrise. To do so, click on the “Manage” link.

To add an extra member, you need a Standard or Premium Netflix plan.

Members who open a new account can transfer a profile from an existing account to their new account. This includes recommendations, viewing history, My List, saved games, settings and more. The customer receives a QR code that is displayed on the TV screen, and they can use it to transfer the profile online. To find out more, check out «Profile transfers» on the Netflix website.

Once you've purchased the Netflix option (via My Sunrise, Sunrise eShop, Sunrise shop or the Call Center), you will receive an activation email from Sunrise with instructions on how to complete the registration to use the Streraming Service. As soon as the registration is complete, you can use Netflix.

Tip:

To use Netflix immediately, book the service directly through your Sunrise TV Box. To do so, go to the “TV Shop” on the “Home” screen. Activation is quick and easy using the QR code displayed on the screen.

You can find your email address directly on your Sunrise TV Box, on the “Home” screen, under “TV Shop” and then under “My subscriptions”.

In My Sunrise, under Entertainment, click on the "Manage" link and then on "Change".

Note:

You can upgrade at any time. You can only downgrade once the current term has expired.

In My Sunrise, under Entertainment, you can deactivate subscribed Streaming Services.

If your Netflix subscription is part of an older Up Home + / Up TV XL package, it will be cancelled automatically when you cancel Up Home + / Up TV XL (the packages can only be cancelled via My Sunrise or by phone). The same applies if you switch to a Sunrise TV product that doesn’t include Netflix.

Note:

Alternatively, you can also cancel your Netflix account right on your Sunrise TV Box. To do this, go to the Home screen, navigate to «TV Shop» and then to «My Subscriptions».
