Instant Notification
When someone appears in front of the Outdoor Camera, you will immediately receive a notification on your mobile phone referring to the images in the Sunrise Home Security app. You can therefore immediately see what is happening. You can see and hear the person and talk to them, no matter where you are.
Mobile Phone Settings
The ability to view images on your mobile phone depends on the model of mobile phone. Viewing images on your mobile phone may incur data-usage charges. Check with your mobile provider before viewing images on your mobile phone.
Installation instructions
Have you got everything?
Before you start the installation check if your package contains the following items:
1 x Outdoor Camera
1 x mounting bracket to mount the camera magnetically on the wall
Screws and plugs for attaching the mounting bracket to the wall
USB-A to USB-C charging cable. Please note: No charger is included. Use a standard USB-A charger.
Sunrise Home Security door/window stickers
Charge the Outdoor Camera for at least 12 hours before first use. Use the supplied USB-A to USB-C charging cable. Connect the charging cable to an existing USB-A charger. This can be any USB-A charger used for charging a mobile phone.
Turn on the Outdoor Camera. The indicator light will now light up green, and a start-up sound will be heard followed by several monotone beeps. The Outdoor Camera is now ready for registration.
Log in to the Sunrise Home Security app to add the camera to your Home Security Service. Tap on the “+” symbol on your home screen and then choose “Add Device”. Select the “Add cameras/doorbells” option and follow the next steps shown in the app.
Find a suitable place to install the Outdoor Camera. Please bear the following in mind:
The Outdoor Camera is weather-resistant (IP66). To prevent excessive exposure to wind, rain and snow, install the device in a covered area if possible.
Ensure that the camera lens is never exposed to direct sunlight, as this can harm image quality.
Please place the camera at a height of two metres for the most accurate human-detection results.
If you can keep the camera powered on by connecting it to a powered USB-A to USB-C cable or to a solar panel (depending on the location of the solar panel) charging will never be required.
If it is not possible to keep the outdoor camera powered on by USB-A to USB-C cable or by Solar Panel, it must be periodically taken to a power outlet inside to be charged.
Always ensure that the Outdoor Camera is directed only at your own property. The camera must never be aimed at public areas.
Mount the camera onto the wall by:
Attaching it magnetically to the mounting bracket that is screwed to the wall using one of the supplied masonry plugs and screws. This method allows for quick and easy removal of the camera when it needs to be charged.
Start by opening the mounting bracket. Turn the front and back parts of the mounting bracket anti-clockwise
Screw the back of the mounting bracket to the wall with one screw, a locking washer and a masonry plug.
Alternatively, mounting it to a standard mounting bracket (not included): a standard mounting bracket can be screwed into the nut at the back of the camera.
Now test the Outdoor Camera by walking past it. Check whether you receive a notification on your mobile phone and then view the live image in the app.
Important notes
If your wireless network has changed, you may need to reset your Outdoor Camera before changing the wireless-network settings.
Communication via live Image
When viewing live images via the app, first tap the microphone button. Communication with people in front of the camera is then possible.
Reset procedure
Press the "Reset" button three times. The Outdoor Camera will emit several beeps to indicate that the reset procedure is being performed.
Important recommendation
Recordings are kept for a limited period. If you want to keep a recording longer, you will need to download it.
Setting up Human Detection
You can enable or disable Human Detection in the Home Security App. If you enable Human Detection, only a notification will be sent, and a recording will be made when a person is detected using smart Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
Human Detection works best under these circumstances:
If the camera is mounted at a height of two metres
For people who are fully in view at a distance of between five and ten metres
The Outdoor Camera should be capable of viewing people directly from the front
Legal obligations
Always ensure that the Outdoor Camera is aimed only at your own property. The outdoor camera should never be aimed at a public space. Check whether there are other legal obligations in your country when using a security camera. We recommend placing the Sunrise Home Security door/window stickers in a visible place.
