Elvis Presley as a superhero

Just as the «King» would have liked the ability to fly when he was a young comic book fan, Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby) staged his cinematic Elvis tribute as a musical superhero collage with Tom Hanks as the greedy, money-grabbing manager – now available in the Sunrise VoD store.

The Elvis Presley tribute «Elvis» always works best when the King of Rock and Roll brings his audience to fever pitch with his sexy hip swing and African-inspired sound – accompanied by wild tracking shots, spectacular close-ups and split-screen snapshots. Baz Luhrmann’s famous directorial work invariably casts a spell over the audience thanks to the interaction between young talent Austin Butler and Hollywood heavyweight Tom Hanks. The result is not a dreary biopic, but pure entertaining narrative cinema. «Elvis» is now available in the Sunrise VoD store.
