When «Pretty Woman» Julia Roberts and Mr. «What else?» George Clooney come together – as a divorced couple who loathe each other – to keep their daughter from entering into a rash marriage, you’re guaranteed a bucket of laughs. «Ticket to Paradise» is a rom-com filled with slapstick humor, funny dialogue and plenty of feel-good fun. And Bali’s wonderful beach vibe is the icing on the cake – very welcome at this cold time of year. «Ticket to Paradise» will be available from 12 January 2023 in the Sunrise VoD store. Here are the instructions on how to enjoy VoD with Sunrise Digital TV.

«Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile»

The family comedy «Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile» is based on the extremely popular US children’s book written by Bernard Waber. In it, he tells the story of a talking crocodile that lives below New York City and befriends a boy. The Primm family, made up of Josh (Winslow Fegley) and his parents Joseph (Scoot McNairy) and Katie (Constance Wu), move to New York City, but Josh struggles to get used to his new surroundings – until he meets Lyle. Available in the VoD store from 5 January.

«Bodies Bodies Bodies»

On a posh estate, rich kids play a game called «Bodies Bodies Bodies», in which a randomly selected person has to «murder» as many players as possible in the dark by tapping them on the back before the others figure out who it is. But the game soon becomes deadly serious and the teens’ masks come off. Conclusion: not a classic jump-scare horror trip, but rather a blood-soaked, satirical reckoning with Generation Z. Available in the VoD store from 12 January.

«After Ever Happy»

Following «After Passion», «After Truth» and «After Love», this is the fourth installment of the «After» series based on the books by Anna Todd. The two main characters, Tessa and Hardin, discover shocking family truths, and the young couple has to decide who they want to be in the future. Since the COVID-19 pandemic made filming difficult, several characters were replaced after the second installment in order to complete the movie in time. For example, Landon in movies three and four is played by Chance Perdomo instead of Shane Paul McGhie, who played the character in the first two films. But the main thing is that Tessa and Hardin are in love with each other. Available in the VoD store from 12 January.

«Blacklight»

Mr. «Taken» Liam Neeson is back doing what he does best. As a «fixer» called Travis Block, he’s used to living in the shadows. And since he «fixes» things for the government, he has an exciting and bloody past. But now, he wants to get his life on track for his daughter’s sake. Until he finds out that the government is having civilians murdered and that his own boss seems to know all about it. Available in the VoD store from 4 January.

Insider tips

«Bros»

Great entertainment. Two gay men who each have trouble getting close to others try to build a relationship that could become more than just a quick roll in the hay. «Bros» is the first gay rom-com from a major US studio (Universal Pictures) to have a mostly gay cast – to the delight of the LGBTQ community. And yes, heterosexuals will also enjoy this homosexual comedy. So don’t be afraid of getting close! Available in the VoD store from 12 January.

«Mein Lotta-Leben 2»

Lotta Petermann (Meggy Hussong) can't wait for the class camp on the island of Amrum. After all, she’s keen on a break from her annoying parents. But the plan fails when Lotta’s dad Rainer (Oliver Mommsen) comes along to help take care of the pupils. And then there’s this new pupil, Rémi (Timothy Scannell) from France, who simply won’t leave Lotta in peace. A successful sequel to a children’s film that’s wonderfully entertaining, even if you haven’t seen the first movie. Available in the VoD store from 5 January.

In the new year, the Sunrise VoD store will continue to be packed with movie highlights to suit everyone’s taste. Happy viewing!
