Star comedy in «A Man called Otto»: in the VoD Store from April 20
Otto Anderson (Tom Hanks) sets the stage with his first meltdown at the hardware store. It’s just superb, the way he gets irritated at every imperfection and grows into more and more of a grump and a grouch at the world around him. And that also applies to his new neighbors, who even manage to annoy him as they arrive with their moving van. But with time, his icy demeanor begins to melt.
Marc Forster’s US adaptation of the Swedish hit comedy «En man som heter Ove» (US title: «A Man called Ove») skillfully shifts back and forth between comedy and tragedy. Watching Tom Hanks, you can’t help but think of Jack Nicholson in the drama «About Schmidt».
