Deaths in «Final Destination: Bloodlines» – available in the VoD store from 28 August

The «Final Destination» series has been around for 25 years now and is always based on the same principle: someone has a premonition that enables them to prevent a number of deaths. Although the survivors will then still die in the way they were predestined to. This sixth instalment adds a blood relationship to the mechanics, but ultimately the film once again features heaps of splatter effects and simple, yet effective suspense. Tony Todd, who died in real life, also makes his last appearance as William Bludworth. Guaranteed to turn your stomach!

Michael B. Jordan twinned in «Sinners» – now available in the VoD store

In 1932, twin brothers Elijah and Elias Smoke (both played by Michael B. Jordan) attempt to leave the hardships of their lives behind to start afresh in their old home town in Mississippi. But things don’t turn out as imagined. A skilful blend of a drama of the South with elements of a fantasy movie. A hint of «From Dusk Till Dawn».

Animal friendship in «Moon le panda» – available in the VoD store from 28 August

12-year-old Tian is sent to live with his grandmother because of his poor grades at school. Far away from the big city, he befriends a bear named Moon in the Chinese mountains. They go through thick and thin together and enjoy thrilling adventures. A classic family adventure from genre specialist Gilles de Maistre («Mia and the White Lion»).

Cate Blanchett in «Black Bag» – available in the VoD store from 14 August

Yes, that’s right! In the film trailer, Cate Blanchett can be seen strolling through the city of Zurich. She plays the wife of elite British agent George Woodhouse (Michael Fassbender). When he’s asked to hunt a traitor in his own ranks, his wife is also put on the list of suspects – an analytical thriller by Steven Soderbergh, who really knows how to tell a riveting 90-minute story.

Riding dragons in «How to Train your Dragon» – available in the VoD store from 28 August

Hicks (Mason Thames) wants to be just as successful a dragon hunter as his daredevil father (Gerard Butler). Yet his track record to date hasn’t been so great. But an unexpected encounter with one of the most dangerous dragons of all, a Nightshade, could change all that. A masterful live-action remake of an animated classic. This film will make you want to be young again.

Rich kids in «Bonjour tristesse» – available in the VoD store from 25 August

Young Cécile (Lily McInerny) spends the summer with her father Raymond (Claes Bang) and his girlfriend in a villa on the Côte d'Azur. However, the dolce far niente comes to an end when Parisian fashion designer Anne (Chloe Sevigny) arrives, flirts with Raymond and pushes Cécile into doing her schoolwork rather than indulging in a summer affair. A visually exhilarating remake of François Sagan’s eponymous fifties novel about sexual freedom, desire and summer idleness.
