Jackie Chan in «Karate Kid: Legends» – 9 September in the VoD Store
When Chinese teenager Li Fong (a likeable Ben Wang) moves from Beijing to New York with his mother, he soon has to prove himself in a big karate competition. The story may be simple and well-known, but the way it's portrayed in this film is very entertaining. Old «Karate Kid» and new «Cobra Kai» fans will be particularly interested in the encounter between Mr Han (Jackie Chan) and Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio). Together, they turn Li Fong into a high-flyer. – Top entertainment.
Zombies in «28 Years Later» – available in the VoD Store from 2 September
In Danny Boyle's horror sequel, a group of survivors are living on a small island decades after the outbreak of a virus. When Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and his son Spike (Alfie Williams) have to travel to the British mainland, they soon experience hell on earth. After «28 Days Later» (2002) and «28 Weeks Later» (2007), «28 Years Later» was an obvious choice. – A crazy trip with a surprise cameo at the end of the film.
Cuba Gooding Jr. in «A Line of Fire» – available in the VoD Store from 18 September
After ten years as an FBI agent, widowed Jack «Cash» Conry gave up everything to devote himself to his two daughters. But it doesn't take long for him to miss that action-packed life and even consider a return to the FBI. And lo and behold, the decision is soon made for him when his ex-partner's niece asks him for help. Explosive action thriller set in a world of danger, corruption and intrigue.
Tom Cruise in «Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning» – available in the VoD Store from 1 September
How do you fight artificial intelligence? Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) shows us in typically thrilling and explosive style, and once again pulls out all the stops to help the good guys win. You can also count on Luther (Ving Rhames) and Benji (Simon Pegg). Despite the slightly excessive length, superstar Cruise still hits the mark with what appears to be the final edition of the «Mission: Impossible» films. And even when it comes to stunts, the «old guy’s» still got it. – Really cool!
Emil Steinberger in «Typisch Emil» – available in the VoD Store from 25 September
Emil's unforgettable performances, his humour and his language have inspired generations. This documentary goes beyond a nostalgic look at the popular stage characters and delves into a world where Emil fights against the shadows of his childhood and the pressures of fame to find his place as a celebrated comedian.
